Les acteurs internationaux<\/h5>\n

Au nombre des \u00e9v\u00e9nements architecturaux phares de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, BIG a inaugur\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re r\u00e9alisation new-yorkaise, le VIA 57 West. D\u2019autres projets BIG sont en cours : le 2 World Trade Center, un gratte-ciel \u00e0 Hudson Yards et une plate-forme panoramique au Brooklyn Bridge Park. La station PATH de Calatrava a enfin ouvert cette ann\u00e9e dans Lower Manhattan. Deux nouvelles tours sign\u00e9es Herzog & de Meuron ouvriront prochainement : la \u00ab tour des bo\u00eetes empil\u00e9es \u00bb du 56 Leonard dans Downtown et un projet r\u00e9sidentiel (en partenariat avec John Pawson) dans Lower East Side. La regrett\u00e9e Zaha Hadid l\u00e8gue \u00e0 la post\u00e9rit\u00e9 et \u00e0 Chelsea deux oeuvres, dont l\u2019une sera inaugur\u00e9e en 2017. David Adjaye travaille au nouveau Studio Museum de Harlem, \u00e0 quelques encablures de son HLM Sugar Hill. Dans Midtown, de nouveaux grattes-ciel sign\u00e9s David Chipperfield, Norman Forster et Jean Nouvel commencent \u00e0 voir le jour. \u00c0 Nolita, une tour d\u2019habitation de Tadao Ando prend forme et la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9alisation new-yorkaise sign\u00e9e Isay Weinfield s\u2019\u00e9rige le long de la High Line.<\/p>\n

Nos starchitectes locaux<\/h5>\n

Parmi les constructions majeures achev\u00e9es r\u00e9cemment, citons le Education Center Roy et Diana Diana Vagelos de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Columbia sign\u00e9 par nos h\u00e9ros locaux Diller Scofidio et Renfro, qui verront bient\u00f4t leur tout premier gratte-ciel – le Culture Shed – s\u2019\u00e9lever sur Hudson Yards. La biblioth\u00e8que de Steven Holl ouvrira courant 2017 sur les quais du Queens, face \u00e0 Midtown Manhattan, et le World Trade Center recevra bient\u00f4t le centre d\u2019art dramatique con\u00e7u par Rex. Le gratte-ciel sign\u00e9 SHoP en cours de construction dans Midtown sera l\u2019un des plus hauts de la ville et le plus effil\u00e9 du monde. SHoP travaille aussi, entre autres multiples projets new-yorkais, au tout premier gratte-ciel en structure bois de la ville. Chez Studio Gang, bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Chicago, on planche sur une nouvelle construction extraordinaire en bordure de la High Line et sur l\u2019extension du Mus\u00e9um d\u2019Histoire Naturelle.<\/p>\n

Et ce n\u2019est qu\u2019un \u00e9chantillon car on a du mal \u00e0 suivre le rythme effr\u00e9n\u00e9 et fascinant du remodelage entrepris par New-York pour rev\u00eatir son visage du 21e si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n
