Revivre la fondation d\u2019une \u00e9glise des ann\u00e9es soixante dans le plus profond respect<\/p>\n

Cologne a besoin de plus de 40 nouvelles \u00e9glises. Bonnes nouvelles, non pas pour les architectes actuels, mais pour ceux qui ont travaill\u00e9 au cours des deux d\u00e9cennies apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre Mondiale.<\/p>\n

Une des nouvelles constructions d\u2019apr\u00e8s-guerre fut l\u2019\u00e9glise \u00e9vang\u00e9lique Saint-\u00c9piphanie, con\u00e7ue par l\u2019architecte local Paul Opp entre 1963-1965.<\/p>\n

Alors que de nombreuses \u00e9glises modernes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9molies ou reconverties \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes fins profanes, Saint-\u00c9piphanie \u00e0 Bickendorf, un quartier ouest de la ville, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9e il y a quelques ann\u00e9es auparavant pour abriter des services eccl\u00e9siastiques. A cet effet, LEPEL & LEPEL a remport\u00e9 le concours pour sa r\u00e9novation et son extension en 2011. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Le nouveau b\u00e2timent, se situant en face de l\u2019\u00e9glise, sert d\u00e9sormais de foyer, permettant ainsi un agrandissement du b\u00e2timent existant et assurant une pr\u00e9sence plus marqu\u00e9e dans l\u2019espace urbain.<\/p>\n

La fa\u00e7ade d\u2019origine de l\u2019\u00e9glise demeure intacte, faisant partie de la structure du nouveau b\u00e2timent. Le campanile avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 planifi\u00e9 par Paul Opp, mais ce projet n\u2019a pas vu le jour \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque pour des raisons financi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n
