L’op\u00e9ra d’Istanbul ; \u00ab Atat\u00fcrk Cultural Center \u00bb est de retour. Enfin ! L’inauguration officielle a eu lieu le 29 octobre 2021, mais l’ensemble du b\u00e2timent ne sera ouvert au public qu’en mars 2022. L’histoire de l’op\u00e9ra commence en 1946. Le b\u00e2timent, qui s’appelait alors le Palais de la Culture d’Istanbul, a eu un avant-projet par Auguste Perret. Cependant, la municipalit\u00e9 n\u2019avait pas assez de ressources financi\u00e8res pur finaliser la construction et, par cons\u00e9quence, un b\u00e2timent inachev\u00e9 a domin\u00e9, tel un fant\u00f4me pendant plus de 20 ans, sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 est de l’imposante place Taksim. Entre-temps, Hayati Tabanl\u0131o\u011flu, un architecte stambouliote bien connu, a repris le projet en 1957 pour mettre fin \u00e0 la mis\u00e8re, mais la r\u00e9alisation et l’ouverture ont pu avoir lieu plus d’une d\u00e9cennie plus tard, en 1969. Malheureusement, l’op\u00e9ra a br\u00fbl\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement moins de deux ans apr\u00e8s l\u2019ouverture. Tabanl\u0131o\u011flu a \u00e9galement pris en charge le renouvellement avec les mises \u00e0 jour techniques n\u00e9cessaires. Apr\u00e8s sept autres ann\u00e9es de r\u00e9novation, le \u00ab Centre Culturel Atat\u00fcrk \u00bb, comme le b\u00e2timent s’appelait maintenant, a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert en 1977.<\/p>\n

Le b\u00e2timent avait une grande salle, deux petites sc\u00e8nes, une salle de cin\u00e9ma, de grands espaces d’exposition et des parkings. La grande fa\u00e7ade vitr\u00e9e accueillante, avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments en acier fabriqu\u00e9s localement, est devenue le symbole de la place Taksim. L’architecte a \u00e9galement travaill\u00e9 avec des c\u00e9ramistes turcs qui ont produit de nombreux d\u00e9tails \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur et \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur. Le b\u00e2timent a fonctionn\u00e9 sans aucun probl\u00e8me pendant trente ans, mais en 2008, le gouvernement a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de le fermer et de le d\u00e9molir sous des pr\u00e9textes futiles.<\/p>\n

De vives discussions contre cette d\u00e9cision n’ont pu emp\u00eacher la d\u00e9molition de ce b\u00e2timent prot\u00e9g\u00e9. Le gouvernement a command\u00e9 un nouveau b\u00e2timent directement \u00e0 Murat Tabanl\u0131o\u011flu, le fils de l’ancien architecte. Il a essay\u00e9 de conserver certaines valeurs iconiques comme la fa\u00e7ade et les d\u00e9tails en c\u00e9ramique. Alors que l’ancien b\u00e2timent \u00e9tait une grande unit\u00e9, le nouveau centre culturel Atat\u00fcrk couvre l’ensemble du terrain et relie les rues environnantes \u00e0 la place Taksim.<\/p>\n

Une grande salle de concert, une salle de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, une salle multifonctionnelle, des locaux pour les activit\u00e9s artistiques des enfants, une biblioth\u00e8que, des boutiques de design, un mus\u00e9e, d’immenses espaces d’exposition, des espaces de restauration ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9s des besoins techniques et spatiaux du 21\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n

Alors que le p\u00e8re-architecte invitait les gens \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur lumineux avec la fa\u00e7ade en verre, le fils architecte a chang\u00e9 le centre d\u2019attraction. Il a con\u00e7u la salle de concert comme un globe visible de l’ext\u00e9rieur. Celui-ci \u00e9tait rev\u00eatu de carreaux de c\u00e9ramique d\u2019un rouge attirant, sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us et maintenant la sph\u00e8re rouge scintille de mani\u00e8re invitante \u00e0 travers la fa\u00e7ade en verre jusqu’\u00e0 la place Taksim. Cette derni\u00e8re construction est comme une troisi\u00e8me apparition du ph\u00e9nix de l’op\u00e9ra, apr\u00e8s plus de 44 de ses 75 ans de vie fant\u00f4me. Esp\u00e9rons que la mal\u00e9diction soit lev\u00e9e et que tout le monde puisse profiter des arts en toute tranquillit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
