Le 29 octobre, la gare d’Amstel \u00e0 Amsterdam a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement rouverte apr\u00e8s une vaste r\u00e9novation, con\u00e7ue par Office Winhov et Gottlieb Paludan Architects. La gare a retrouv\u00e9 sa gloire d’antan, ce qui en fait \u00e0 nouveau l’un des plus beaux b\u00e2timents de gare modernes des Pays-Bas.<\/p>\n

La gare d’Amstel, situ\u00e9e au sud-est d’Amsterdam, a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue par l’architecte ferroviaire H.G.J. Schelling et l’architecte municipal Jan Leupen. Inaugur\u00e9e en 1939, elle \u00e9tait l’un des b\u00e2timents de gare les plus innovants de son \u00e9poque. En raison de la concurrence croissante des autres moyens de transport public, mais aussi des transports personnels tels que les voitures et les v\u00e9los, la gare a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue comme le tout premier centre de transport multimodal. La gestion des diff\u00e9rents flux de passagers et de bagages a servi de base \u00e0 l’am\u00e9nagement du b\u00e2timent : Schelling a plac\u00e9 la nouvelle machine de transfert \u00e0 angle droit par rapport aux voies, afin que les trams, les bus, les taxis et les v\u00e9los puissent circuler dans le hall principal. Le fait que le hall de la gare et l’auvent aient \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us comme un seul et m\u00eame geste est \u00e9galement une innovation.<\/p>\n

Et pourtant, l’architecture contient aussi des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences historiques, en premier lieu dans la forme du hall de la gare, qui ressemble \u00e0 une cath\u00e9drale. Dans cet espace presque sacr\u00e9, de grandes peintures murales de l’artiste Peter Alma marquent la transition entre l’int\u00e9rieur et l’ext\u00e9rieur, entre le hall et le tunnel des voyageurs. D\u00e8s le d\u00e9part, elles ont fait partie d’un concept d’orientation qui s’appuyait principalement sur une lumi\u00e8re et des dimensions spatiales soigneusement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Des caract\u00e9ristiques perdues et retrouv\u00e9es<\/h2>\n

Cependant, certaines de ces caract\u00e9ristiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 perdues apr\u00e8s 1977, lorsque le m\u00e9tro a \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 la station. De nombreuses interventions, grandes et petites, ont conduit \u00e0 l’interruption des lignes de vue, et dans le m\u00eame temps, le hall de la gare a \u00e9t\u00e9 encombr\u00e9 de bureaux de service et d’extensions de magasins. En 2014, la d\u00e9cision a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 prise de restaurer la station. Le bureau Winhov d’Amsterdam et Gottlieb Paludan Architects de Copenhague ont remport\u00e9 la proc\u00e9dure de s\u00e9lection. Ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de continuer \u00e0 utiliser le vocabulaire historique de Schelling et Leupen. \u00ab\u00a0Dans un tel projet, la t\u00e2che de l’architecte est d’\u00eatre invisible\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Jan-Peter Wingender du bureau Winhov. Le point de d\u00e9part \u00e9tait toujours l’id\u00e9e de la gare comme une machine de transport optimis\u00e9e. D’une part, l’objectif \u00e9tait de restaurer la valeur monumentale des b\u00e2timents, y compris le concept de couleur original et les axes de vue. D’autre part, la gare devait \u00e9galement \u00eatre adapt\u00e9e aux exigences d’aujourd’hui – au nombre croissant de voyageurs et d’utilisateurs, mais aussi \u00e0 l’\u00e9volution des besoins dans les domaines du service, du commerce et de l’accessibilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9sormais, les visiteurs et les voyageurs peuvent \u00e0 nouveau d\u00e9couvrir la beaut\u00e9 de la gare d’Amstel, de l’espace baign\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re du hall principal aux impressionnantes peintures murales, en passant par l’\u00e9l\u00e9gante construction en acier de la verri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Visite audio par architour<\/h3>\n

\u00c0 l’occasion de la \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9ouverture\u00a0\u00bb de la gare, l’op\u00e9rateur ferroviaire n\u00e9erlandais NS a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 architour, partenaire de Guiding Architects, de d\u00e9velopper une visite audio sur l’architecture et l’art \u00e0 Amstel Station<\/a>. Au cours de la visite audio, les visiteurs sont conduits \u00e0 neuf arr\u00eats dans et autour du b\u00e2timent de la gare. Ils peuvent s’informer sur le pass\u00e9, le pr\u00e9sent et l’avenir de la gare, mais aussi sur les magnifiques \u0153uvres d’art. La visite est accessible gratuitement dans le navigateur sur les smartphones ou les tablettes, aucune application sp\u00e9ciale n’est n\u00e9cessaire – mais pour l’instant, elle est uniquement en n\u00e9erlandais.<\/p>\n
