Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un projet pionnier qui a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 des autorisations sp\u00e9ciales, car l&rsquo;utilisation du CLT n&rsquo;est pas encore autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 New York. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le bois \u00e0 NYC &#8211; hier et aujourd&rsquo;hui<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La ville de New York compte un grand nombre de b\u00e2timents industriels du XIXe si\u00e8cle construits avec de lourdes structures en bois, notamment les anciens entrep\u00f4ts de Chelsea avec leurs toits en bois \u00e0 grande port\u00e9e qui abritent aujourd&rsquo;hui certaines des galeries les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres du monde. Mais jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le bois n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 beaucoup utilis\u00e9 dans les projets contemporains de grande envergure. En 2015, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"SHoP Architects a remport\u00e9 le prix am\u00e9ricain de la construction en bois de grande hauteur pour un b\u00e2timent de dix \u00e9tages (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shoparc.com\/projects\/475-west-18th\/\" target=\"_blank\">SHoP Architects a remport\u00e9 le prix am\u00e9ricain de la construction en bois de grande hauteur pour un b\u00e2timent de dix \u00e9tages<\/a> situ\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la High Line, mais comme le code de la construction de la ville de New York n&rsquo;autorise actuellement qu&rsquo;un maximum de six \u00e9tages pour les b\u00e2timents en bois de grande hauteur, il reste \u00e0 construire. Il se caract\u00e9rise par des couloirs ext\u00e9rieurs &#8211; qui se doublent d&rsquo;espaces ext\u00e9rieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9reux &#8211; qui s&rsquo;\u00e9tendent sur la fa\u00e7ade sud. Les balcons profonds ombragent la fa\u00e7ade vitr\u00e9e en \u00e9t\u00e9 et l&rsquo;utilisation de CLT pour les plaques de sol et les balcons est un moyen intelligent d&rsquo;\u00e9viter naturellement les pertes thermiques entre l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur et l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur sans d\u00e9tails co\u00fbteux.
