AUTHOR: Courtesy of Historic Environment Scotland<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Il est tr\u00e8s facile de passer sans les apercevoir \u00e0 cot\u00e9 des <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lion_Chambers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lion&nbsp;Chambers<\/a>. Construit sur un site de 10 par 14 m\u00e8tres, ce complexe regroupe cabinets d\u2019avocats et studios d\u2019artistes. Il est le r\u00e9sultat de l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation par les architectes Salmon + Gillespie, du b\u00e9ton arm\u00e9, technologie pionni\u00e8re pour l\u2019\u00e9poque en contraste avec les traditionnelles fa\u00e7ades de pierre et structures d\u2019acier. La structure est soulign\u00e9e par une s\u00e9rie de 21 colonnes entre lesquelles se loge une fine peau de b\u00e9ton et menuiseries formant la fa\u00e7ade. Seconde construction de ce type en Ecosse, sa technologie innovante a \u00e9galement marqu\u00e9 son destin incertain. De fait, ses ouvrages manquent cruellement de reconnaissance. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.egyptianhalls.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Egyptian Hall<\/a>, achev\u00e9 en 1872 est certainement le plus abouti de ses immeubles commerciaux. L\u2019imposante fa\u00e7ade est une savante composition d\u2019arch\u00e9types classiques: flamboyantes colonnes grecques, entablements de styles romains et chapiteaux n\u00e9o \u00e9gyptiens. Malheureusement, due \u00e0 son \u00e9tat de conservation, le b\u00e2timent est pour la plus part inoccup\u00e9 et attend son verdict cach\u00e9 derri\u00e8re un \u00e9chafaudage.<\/p>\n<p>Le cas de la <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Caledonia_Road_Church\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caledonia Road Church<\/a>, n\u2019est pas brillant non plus. Page &amp; Park ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la conservation de nombreux sites d\u2019importance tel que le <a href=\"http:\/\/kelvingrovebandstand.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kelvingrove Bandstand<\/a>. Au c\u0153ur du Kelvingrove Park, cet \u00e9quipement sc\u00e9nique des ann\u00e9es 1920 a r\u00e9cemment retrouv\u00e9 sa gloire mais aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 adapt\u00e9 aux besoins actuels. A plus grande \u00e9chelle<a href=\"http:\/\/nva.org.uk\/artwork\/kilmahew-st-peters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> le s\u00e9minaire brutaliste des architectes Gillespie Kidd &amp; Coia<\/a>, laiss\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019abandon depuis plusieurs d\u00e9cennies est aujourd\u2019hui en pleine renaissance.
